metaknight glanced around. “Strange. The cappies has lived in this area for generations. My guess is that daroach either captured them or ran to avoid capture” adeleine looked at him “Why would he want to capture them?” “Before I was banished, daroach bragged about making everybody his slave, not because he needed any, but for his own amusement. He even showed me two colorful sisters in chains, claiming them as his own personal fortunetellers” “Fortunetellers?” “ He said they can conjure the spirit of the dreams and see the future. He forced her to tell him how to work on his own magic. No doubt that’s how he found you” He shook his head sadly “If that’s what he’s doing to her, who knows what he’s making other folks so?” he looked at adeleine and then up at the a large tree adeleine went up and grabbed a red cheeked apple that had captured her interest. She was on the tip of her toes as she grasped it. When she tried to pluck it off the branch however, it wouldn’t budge, as if

“Oh my,” adeleine shivered as she and her friends walked through the tunnel. “It’s so dark” The girl quietly apologized and gazed fearfully into the darkness. She gripped the nutcracker’s arm tighter with no intention of letting go and losing herself in the dark tunnel. How much further? She whispered metaknight shrugged. “I honestly don’t know” he leaned closed “Don’t worry, mistress. By my honor, I will keep you from harm” adeleine blushed and admired how handsome the nutcracker looked in the dim light. Then she frowned when she remembered he was engaged. To a Queen, no less That was really what bothered her about this quest. Not the fact that she was facing an awful tyrant, but that the prince charming joining her already had a love. Of course, she had no intention of pursing a man that was taken, but didn’t the heroine of every fairy tale get the prince in the end? If the nutcracker had the queen, what did make adeleine? “I see a Light!” ribbon announced, pointing

In the wall was a tiny mouse hole, and from it came an army of mice, small mouse-like creatures that are simple in appearance. Their bodies are shaped similar to that of a tadpole's and they will either be seen colored red, blue, yellow, or green. Their faces are a peach color and they have two shiny eyes and a mouth. They have two large ears on the top of their heads. Squeakers lack limbs, and have small tails. They were just fluffy little mice like creatures that smell of cinnamon. They marched quietly into the cellar and shushed each other whenever the floor creaked. Then a large mouse emerged from the hole, taller as his army A towering rat with gray fur dressed in a long jagged red cape. Around his neck, he has a gold bell that appears to be holding up his cloak. His face is shaven and has yellow eyes with dark gray circles around them, above them are thick eyebrows. Although he lavishes himself as a mouse, he has rat-like characteristics, such as sharp fangs and round, floating

It was the eve of Christmas and the streets of Town were quiet. The snow fell silently on the sidewalk as the light in every shop window went out. Everyone had gone home to their families to prepare for the festivities The only living soul out tonight was a tall dark figure draped in a black hooded cape. The crunch of his shoes in the snow was the only sound to be heard; unless you had a good enough ear to hear the snowflakes touch the ground The old man’s face was serene, his eyes focused on the path ahead of him, making occasional glances to the brightly wrapped packages tucked in his bag. He stopped in front of a building that was an orphanage in a state of disrepair. The windows were dark like the orphans had fallen asleep. The old man smiled and looked at his baggage “Now everything falls into place” --------------------------------------------------- Inside the Orphanage, the orphans are asleep in their cold rooms. Hidden in a tiny closet however,a young girl was putting

Jay opened his eyes, looking up at the popcorn ceiling he was lying under. He didn't need to look at the clock to know it was late in the afternoon. He sighed, realizing that he had missed his online class lecture again. Jay slowly sat up, rubbing his cheek, trying to convince himself to get out of bed. Even though it had only been a week since he finished his last commission, his funds were running low again. He would need to do another commission. Hopefully, one higher paying than the last one and one that required less effort. Sitting up with a groan, he cradled his forehead. Looking over at his dresser, which was in the middle of puking up papers and socks, covered in many different glasses, filled with either ancient cold coffee sludge or lukewarm water, he finally gets up. Stumbling around his room, he walks down to the kitchen, slamming his foot accidentally against the only kitchen chair. "Ffffffffffffffff-" Jay starts to yell out when he's interrupted by the doorbell's loud
Sitting in front of the screen, Sasha couldn't help but groan as she looked over her work. Or lack of it. She had sat down at her desk earlier in the evening with a nice mug of slightly caffeinated tea to write an entire story over an idea she had thought of for a literary journal she hoped to get it into. Now, it was three am, she had finished off three and a half cups of bitter-tasting matcha tea, and she had nothing to show for it. It felt like the blank page on her computer screen was mocking her as if it wasn't the one preventing her from moving on with her tale. Peering into her now empty fourth cup of tea, she heard a small rumble behind her. Quickly, she got up from her office chair and headed towards the nearby darkened kitchen. She was already stressed out and out of patience. But she couldn't quit now, not with the deadline so close. Opening the fridge, Sasha started to search for anything that might stop the inevitable a bit longer. "Hungry," something whispered faintly
My name is Herman Fontaine. I am 29 years old and live in Ocala Florida with my girlfriend of three years, Sylvia Ramsey, several dogs, cats, turtles, and a couple of capybaras. I am running out of time, and there's no one left on the research vessel Hidden Minnow. Everyone is dead except for me. Though that's going to change pretty soon. Part of me doesn't want to relive this day. I just want to slip into unconsciousness, unaware of the danger lying underneath the floating driftwood I'm stuck on. But I know I can't do that. I can't let others go through what I and everyone onboard did. So, please listen to how we came across something that should have stayed hidden. I am...no, not anymore...I was a successful ocean photographer and I used to love the ocean. No, love isn't right. Obsessed would be a better term. From the first time I saw the sea in person at twelve years old, I knew I had found something that would play a vital role in my life. The sound of the waves periodically

I lead my children into the room and picked up their stuff and sent it to their rooms. While they were on their way I made them their favorite cookies.
"Here you go sweeties" I said as I put the plates in front of them. They greeted me with a smile that could melt even the iciest soul and warm the very core of the heart.
"Thank you mommy",they said in harmony and they took a bite.
"You're welcome darling,so how was the weekend at daddy's,did you have fun?"
"Well we did,but it was a little weird though" Emily said looking like she knew that I would be shocked and ask questions. I was very confused and scared that he hadn't done something stupi
Let me tell you a story of my life. I'm a poor teenager that lives with parents. Many teachers asked me why I have all of those scars and blue skin, but I always lie " It's nothing."- lying in their faces. My mom is alcoholic freak and father is a drug dealer. I can't say anything against their violence over me because they'll see it as weakness and more pain would come after that. Living a lonely life that goes slowly and painfully. I have cried myself to sleep every night until there is an only headache left.
No one cares and no one feels towards me. I'm quiet most of the time, shy and unsure of myself. Because of mom, we don't have dinner

The Puzzle: Starting Call (Chapter 1)
It was a usual and relaxed summer saturday. Maya and Allan were sitting on the couch watching some TV. The sun from outside was like burning hell invading earth, and it's rays striked through their windows. They both were sighing from the heat but they were too lazy to pull the curtains down. Allan was getting pretty annoyed.
"Sis,can you please put the curtains down.. you're closer to them",Allan said squinting his eyes from the strenght of the rays.
"Ok bro,but only just because I can't stand it either" Maya said, getting up and heading towards the window.
There wasn't much for them to do. Ever since they retired from their paranormal activ
